Hey Folks: It's been a while since I posted, so I felt I should submit something really cool! I was just in Buffalo and saw The Offspring perform at Darien Lake. What a killer show. If you get a chance to see The Offspring play at any of the Warped Tour dates, I suggest you check them out. The band played the following songs. All I Want – kicked off the set, made the crowd go crazy. Come Out and Play – an Offspring set list would not be complete without this one. Bad Habit – amazing to hear this track. This was an Offspring vault song. Have You Ever - another vault song. This song goes over really well live. Can't Get My Head Around You – lots of clapping going on during this song. The crowd really got into it. Can't Repeat – I was really impressed with Can’t Repeat, the guitars were so powerful. The Kids Aren't Alright – probably the best song of the night. Everyone was moshing/crowd surfing to this one. Self Esteem – great way to end the set, everyone was singing along. After the show, I went backstage to visit with The Offspring. Atom Willard was the first to arrive backstage at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Centre. I must say, Atom was very friendly. We discussed our offspringnation.com interview, remembering past interview questions and sharing some laughs. Actually, Atom had read a novel by David Becker, so he found my name easy to remember. Atom is an excellent performer; very powerful on the drums. Noodles arrived shortly after, enjoying a cold Bud, and talking to eager Offspring fans. We briefly discussed the web, the official Offspring BBS, and past interviews. Noodles posed for a couple pictures. In the first picture, Noodles is making reference to Canada with his hand (The C denotes Canada). In the second picture, Noodles is giving a punk rock salute. www3.sympatico.ca/dirkbecker.home/dvzoffspring/images/warped2.jpgDexter was unable to be reached after the show, as he was leaving for the next venue right away. Dexter flies in his private plane to most Warped Tour dates. Lastly, Higgins greeted fans as he entered The Offspring tent. Higgins and I spoke about my web site, his side projects, and discussed his work concerning past Offspring CD’s.
